My Garden of Children

First of all, CONGRATS UNCLE ZACH!!  The first to answer the trivia question from the previous post correctly!  You're the winner of the three night/four day vacation package to the Bahamas, which we would be mailing to you had it not gotten soaked in the following activity...:-)

Guaranteed to be the most fun a buck can buy.
I picked up wildflower seeds in the local Target dollar section and we made a day of it!

A group effort to pull out the mother-of-all weeds

Scattering Seeds
Giving our flowers a "drink" (aka, flooding the flower bed)
Water Works

Now if only we can keep the balls and frisbee and "pitter-patter of little feet" out of the bed,
maybe we can get some blooms.
I love my days as a Mommy...
growing poppies
growing daffodils
growing children!

Mandy, what fun! It is fun to see the kids get into planting flowers! I am amazed that your oldest daughter kept her white shirt clean. 8-) Mine seem to have a magnetic force the guides them into any dirt. 8-) I love seeing moms have fun with their kids. Congratulations on a great batch of them!

I have to admit I was pretty shocked when I read your comment on Matt and Nicole's blog. How amazing that two families both have a daughter named Evangeline and that the child had Transposition of the Great Arteries.

I appreciate your prayers for my daughter and son in law. They are still grieving the loss of Evie, but joyously awaiting the arrival of their next child.

Please pray also that the Lord will direct Matt to a ministry soon (he graduated from seminary last May.)

You have an absolutely beautiful family!

Sincerely, Gayle Gustafson

How fun. I love planting flowers with my kids. We planted the wildflower seeds last year and the kids were in charge of water them. It was so exciting to them that the flower bed quickly became a water pit. There were no flowers that bloomed but there were plenty of mud pies. Good times.

I know you are not missing your teensy weensy apartment in Kiev now! Just a bit jealous of the 'clean' dirt and fresh air....and green growing things. Breath some for us!
