This and That

Evie’s GI specialist met with us last week.  The results of her recent biopsies and PH study indicate that she does have significant reflux, but that the increased medication is controlling the acid.

Because she has been so healthy (out of acute care and no ER visits since Christmas!!!) we are feeling optimistic about a plan from here. A Nissen surgery on her stomach seems a needless intervention so long as we can control the aspirations causing her pulmonary issues. This is huge progress for the little missy!  All doctors are pleased with the weight she is putting on and are hopeful that truly, time will heal all wounds!

So, the little snack cabinet is on her level stocked with healthy choices of pretzel rods, dried fruit and graham crackers....what does she come out with?

What can I say?  Clearly, she is her mother's child!

And why feel guilty?  She NEEDS to gain weight!!

Here's a kissy-kissy "goodnight" from the little princess! (such a concentrated effort:-)

Wow! I am so excited to "meet" you! We really do have a lot in common! I want to sit and read your blog from start to finish! I am running so late this morning because I can't shut my computer down! We are on our way to the cardiologist. I am going to pick up where I left off as soon as I get home! You have a BEAUTIFUL family! I can't wait to read more! God bless!

Hi! You do not know me, but I am also a heart mom. I am a mother to a 2 year old with TOF/repaired. Anyway, I was wondering if I could link your daughters blog on my sons. I try to list as many organization and families as possible, so when people are doing searches they can find the information they need. You would be a great addition. Thanks, Kelleyn

She is a girl after my own heart! I'd take Oreos any day over boring healthy snacks! What great news, I'm sure you're so relieved! I read about your little friend and OF COURSE will keep him in our thoughts and prayers! Like so many heart babies, he deserves his miracle!
