We had a wonderfully low-key day celebrating the fourth with the California cousins swimming and barbequing. C even got in a little surfing before catching his red-eye flight back to Columbia. I sat in the grand bay window in his aunts house overlooking the majestic city of LA watching fireworks explode in a panorama of glittering lights around me….and counted my many blessings
