Got Milk?

Bedtime conversations are just the best! After reading Fancy Nancy to Isabelle (twice) tonight, she snuggled down under the covers while I rubbed her back.
"Mommy, sing Graze-n-Peas" she begged.
(....ahem....thats "Grace and Peace")
I sang, kissed her goodnight and whispered "I love you Izzy. You are my gift from God, you know that?"
She sat bolt upright perplexed...
Izzy - "He put me in a present bag?"
Mommy - "No, no, no honey"
Izzy - "Where He put me in?"
Mommy - "He put you in Mommy's tummy"
With that, she got a sly grin on her face and cocked her head to the side to look at me mischievously out of the corner of her eye. Pointing to my chest she asked,
"And He give Mommy those for me too?"

I cracked up and she seemed pretty pleased with herself too! Clearly, breast-feeding is no secret to this little smarty pants:-)

Reminds me of the twins when they were little. C was asking them the simple preschool questions:
C - "Where does honey come from?"
T&A - "the bees"
C - "And where do eggs come from?"
T&A - "a chicken"
C - "Good, good...and where does milk come from?"
You can see where this is going....the collective answer in chorus was "Mommy!!"

Too funny. Kids are so smart. Sometimes smarter than their own good. I wish I had a recorder to record the things they say everyday.

oh boy does that resonate! Vika is 2 and a half, so she can be pretty eloquent about the topic of breastfeeding. :)

Hi Mandy,

I received your comment about Shipwreck Cove. It is a new water park in Duncan, SC near Spartanburg. It is nice, but is overpriced in my opinion.

Let me know if Thursday, October 22nd is a good day to meet up. I would love to see Evie again!

Graysen is doing well. He has a PC appointment on 10/8 at which time we will start the process for scheduling his second heart cath. His bovine conduit is clogged up with scar tissue and needs to be opened up to reduce pulmonary pressures.

I am glad to hear all is well with you. We think of you all the time!

Laura
