I will do everything humanly possible to forgo grocery shopping with all 5 in tow. I avoid it like the plague. Its not that they misbehave, but seriously, the aisles of common supermarkets just arent geared to an entire basketball team traipsing though.
...And its inevitable that my quick list of 6 things that I need will turn into at least three 10-minute conversations with curious strangers who want to know "All they all yours?"
(no, Im just taking the local preschool on a field-trip to the grocery store).
....And those cute "car" grocery carts that my 2 and 3 year old want to drive, were clearly invented by someone who has never tried steering them down narrow aisles. Those things need an entire city block to make a turn!
Henceforth, on day 11 with my better half out of the country in Cuba, we're running a little short on supplies. I mean, what kind of mother lines her kids up for a conversation like this one:
"Look guys, we have half a roll of toilet paper left. So....if you could limit it to a couple squares every time you have to go, that would be so great!"
Im a far cry from the Proverbs 31 Woman I so desire to be. Aspiring, but falling so short! Am betting she didn't call her husband and ask him to make a quick stop for toilet paper as soon as he stepped off a plane....or a boat...or...whatever.
Then again, if "she prepares portions for her servant girls", that would indicate she had someone else helping stock the shelves with Charmin.
Drat though! Im wishing Id taken my chances with Publix!
(Just hold it 16 more hours kids!)
We CANT WAIT to get Daddy home tomorrow!

You're so funny Mandy! I would love to run into you and your crew at Publix!
Pull out the Pampers girl...only sixteen more hours! :)
Wipes and napkins will do the trick, too. And girl, can I relate to living by the Daddy countdown. Tomorrow, all will be right again :)
Oh my goodness so funny! I got a good laugh, thanks! I can't believe the things people ask! Isn't obvious they are all yours! Someone asked my hubby if he had a glass eye at the pharmacy. So rude! I would volunteer to get some TP for you but I don't think I would make it any quicker than your hubby would! Hope he makes it home safely and you make it through the store! I only have two and don't take mine! My youngest is a terror! She has calmed down a tad she won't run through the aisles as fast as she can. But she still wants to touch and get everything! I have to drive an hour to the store, then if it is payday stand in line for at least a half hour and then drive an hour home.. So it ends up being a 3 hour trip so it is much easier with no kids! Good luck! Hope that last roll makes it!
So funny!!! Enjoy your homecoming celebration!!!
How funny! I totally remember driving those carts, its like trying to steer and 18 wheeler!
