Out of necessity, all five accompanied me through Publix yesterday. My kids were sitting angelically in the cart and trailing behind in single file while I struggled to find my coupon match ups.
The fact that I turned at one point to see that Evie had stripped down to nothing but her diaper and that Izzy was guzzling from the Hershey's Chocolate Syrup container she had masterfully removed the lid from seemed inconsequential.
They were happy.
And relatively well behaved.
And the big kids contentedly smacked their gum as they followed me through the store.
I was applauding myself for no casualties or meltdowns as we wrapped up our list in the canned food section.
At that moment, a poor senior citizen clearly distracted by the parade before her, drove her mobilized grocery cart into a canned goods display.
Regardless of the fact that my brood evaded catastrophe, Im still feeling indirectly responsible for the Del Monte Pineapple jars rolling down aisle 4.

Listen...you need not worry about the Del Monte cans.....as long as you got enough refried beans to keep you going for a while.....I mean really...they are quite the necessity I hear!!
Hey, a happy kid is a happy kid! lol!
