You've Got To See It To Believe It

Everyone who comes to visit us for the first time, asks the same question when they walk in the door.
"What's with your neighbor and the toilets?"

"What?" I ask. "Do you not have a neighbor who decorates his lawn with old toilets, halloween jack-o-lanterns, artificial Christmas trees and fake floral arrangements?
It is a sight to beheld!
Normal suburbia kids ask, "Mom, can we ride our bikes to the brick mailbox three houses down and then we'll turn around."
My kids ask "Can we go on a walk to the toilets and back?"

Lovely neighborhood we live in!
As the story goes, the gentleman who lives here has a bone to pick with the neighbors. Apparently someone complained that it was against the zoning ordinance when he tried to hook up a trailer on the property. Because gas and water were not turned on for him, he created an eye sore for the neighbors.
No, its not vandalism.
Its "Yard Art".
Im feeling bad that in the two years that we've lived here, I havent yet taken over banana bread and introduced myself. On second thought, perhaps the old toilet we just hauled out of the bathroom we are remodeling might be a more along his line of extending a hand of friendship.

HA!!! I think he'd love the toilet!

Okay, your title scared me a little at first knowing you and how you take pictures of those things without legs that all belong with the devil...so the "yard art" wasn't too bad! :)

Really though I hardly notice them anymore!

Yep, he might like your little gift! Kelly's Korner had a post a few days ago about a neighbor that had a maniquin (sp??) in the window that changed clothes once in a while. They recently took the house occupants to a nursing home. Maybe there are some "issues" there? But your neighbors yard art is unique and eclectic at least!
