I've been in a bit of a blogging funk. Life is passing me by faster and faster and the further behind I get in updating holidays, soccer seasons, dance classes and runny-noses, the more overwhelmed I get. Days are full. Life is beautiful. Where do the hours go?
Last weekend was perfect weather for our fall festivities.
Katherine and Derek bravely came to visit during the mayhem that ensues from costumes, cookies and candy overload.
Izzy wasnt sure what to think of the glup she had to dig out with her hands.
Tristan however was totally content to be up to his elbows in orange pulp!
Boys are a different breed indeed!
You'll find this fitting....as Aunt Katherine helped Evie carve her pumpkin, "Miss Priss" insisted that her pumpkin needed a bow! Her creative and obliging auntie did just that. Evie was SO delighted and proceeded to carry her pumpkin around like it was a baby doll!
Somedays, I just cant believe they are all mine. What a funny bunch!
Jack-o-lantern cookie decorating was next on the list.
The general idea was to make faces out of candy corn, chocolate chips and raisins.
However, it soon turned into a competition of how much stuff can you cram onto one cookie!
Very nice Britain!
(grateful it was warm enough to do this project outside!!)
This crazy crew...
Tristan (Cowboy), Abi (Indian princess), Britain (Tooth Fairy), Isabelle (Kung Fu Panda....this girl makes me laugh!), Evie (Princess).
I have since been pulling candy wrappers out of desk drawers, from under couch cushions and bed pillows and from every nook, crannie and corner of this house. I swear, those things procreate!

Adorable costumes and GOOD looking cookie!!!
How fun! I love that they have pumpkins that descend in size...like they do! And, I love the costume shot....mostly the little tooth fairy...what a great idea...and the kung fu panda...hilarious!
I've been praying and hoping no news is good news. Glad y'all are ok. All these pics made me smile. Evie and I both look so good in chocolate brown :) And the line up.... pumpkins and kids.... it's sweet to see how they are growing.... and totally GMSROTFL (grabbed my side rolled on the floor laughing) and all the sweet pun'kins and one proud owner of the scary one. It's...ogre like. Reminds me of a little ski trip I took with sweet friends in the Swiss Alps where the ogre protected the young maiden.... Had to laugh too that they are so sneaky clever in their hiding spots.... wonder where they got that from??? :P Miss y'all so much!
I love Evie's pumpkin with the hair bow!!!!
