These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things

This is a must try!  My absolute favorite new holiday treat.  Not only are they natural and healthy and delectable, they look beautiful displayed in a glass container or on a white platter brought to a holiday function!



Open and wash a bag of fresh cranberries


Make a simple syrup by boiling 4 C. in about 6 C. water.
Once sugar has dissolved and the syrup starts to thicken a bit, take off heat and let cool to room temperature.


Once cooled, pour syrup over berries and let sit for 12-24 hours.  Berries will plump up infusing the tart with sweet.


Pour berries into a strainer to get rid of excess syrup.  Then toss in fine sugar.  Chill.


Voila!  Enjoy.  Eat served over ice cream….or just by the spoonful:)
