Farewell to Summer

Those who know me best know that:
-I need sunshine to bloom.
-I'm willing to take the message of our Risen Lord wherever He sends us next...to any corner of the world, (but I pray its a warm one!)
-If I never see another snowflake in my life, thats fine by me.
-I wear flip flops and sundresses (and dress my kids like it is still my favorite season) until I get comments from other concerned parents.

What can I say? Im a southern soul!

Two weeks ago, the pajama parade took our pancake breakfast out to our dock for one last lazy Saturday of summer.

What better way to rinse off sticky syrup than to take a swim?
This Saturday is different. We're all bundled in sweats and the kids are asking for hot chocolate with dinner. Ive (begrudgingly) been going through winter clothes and packing away bathing suits and tank tops.

Reluctantly, Im bidding farewell to a summer of golden sunsets and beautiful memories!

Oh yes - I am right there with you on this one. I could totally just skip over this cold season!

oh I'm so with you girl. How cool that you have a dock and a huge swimming pool in your backyard. I'm shivering just thinking about snow.
