There is a perfect solution for these sweltering southern summer afternoons.
WATER!!
And lots of it!
Daddy inflated tubes and souped up the Slip N' Slide with dish-soap to optimize slippery conditions!
I sat in a lawn chair observing the fun and read....completely undisturbed.
For 2 HOURS!
Even Evie got in on the action. Doesn't she look excited?
The big brown strip that now adorns our lawn is a small price to pay for that much fun!

I'm pretty sure Evie has the same look on her face that Owen would.. finger in the mouth an all.

I just caught up on a lot of your recent posts. How is it that Evie looks older than when we saw you just two weeks ago? Love that you got to sit a little, thanks to slippery fun! I had the pool out yesterday and got several things done for our upcoming trip while the kiddos played!
It looks like the kids had a blast, but I'm sure you had an even better time than they did! :)
We are looking forward to seeing you in just over a week. A summer playdate at the lake sounds great!
